Welcome to the Roadhouse
Jake Bowen
Welcome to the Roadhouse. In the old times, at the end of the day, when the long trek was ended and the hard work was done, folks would seek out a place to shake off the dust of the road or the worries of the day. The roadhouse, the inn, the public house, the tavern, the
honky-tonk, that's where our stories where told and our songs where sung. Not that much has changed. We are still looking for that respite. Our music is all about that.

It's called Americana, American roots music that is found at the intersection of acoustic alternative, country, folk, roots rock, bluegrass, rockabilly, and western swing.

From alternative to bluegrass to zydeco, all of these styles do have something in common. Great story telling and an honest, unpretentious realism.

Sometimes our music is a mixture of all these things. Other times, it's something that ol' Jake Bowen just picked up on his way into the way to town.

Rock, you bet, with a twist, Roadhouse style

Sometimes we'd rather just, whistle and go fishing.

Sometimes we like to gossip about our neighbors and tell you a little about ourselves.

Pull up a chairand put your feet up, there's some stories we want to tell you and some songs we want to sing.

We play this music because it entertains us and we hope it entertains you as well. It don't matter how you do it, just do it like you know it. We've been down this road once or twice before.

All things considered, it doesn't really matter what our music is or is not. Like all good music, It is something to be listened to - not defined or categorized. If you enjoy it, that's all that really matters.

Thanks for listening
