Well, you've done it for us again. Our 4th Annual Chili-Cook Off was a great success. Our friends have continued support of our AdoptaPlatoon Soldier Support Effort and they have made it possible for us to increase the number of deployed troops that we are able to support. Because of your generosity we will be sending the troops at least 500 Christmas stockings packed with goodies

The fifth and second graders at Green Pines Elementary in Wildwood are going to stuff 250 Christmas Stockings

The good folks at the Helen Press Tri-county Senior Center are also going to stuff 250 Christmas Stockings

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Kansas City, Missouri Collected a few goodies for our troops. After they had collected these items they weren't sure how best to get them to the right place. Duh. When you have good friends like Bob and Cindy Barrow its easy. Cindy goes to pick them up and Bob delivers them to our friends at Greenpines Elementary and The Tri-County Senior Center; Voila, Christmas in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Oh yeah, a few items---5,000!!!!!!!!  Thanks to AdoptaPlatoon and your contributions we are going to be able to send Christmas to a lot of special men and women serving our country with honor.

This may seem like a lot of stuff. But, we want to be able to send as much as we possibly can. We are still committed to our unit (C Company 206th Engineers) for the duration of their deployment. All of your contributions are important to us. Our friends at the Great Pacific Coffee Company and Bank Star have agreed to provide drop off boxes for two more weeks.
